Bruce Kingma, Professor of Entrepreneurship with SU School of Information Studies/Whitman School of Management recently met with both TTG members and members of the business community to talk about Capstone and the projects available. He stated the iSchool is looking for projects for the capstone in information management and technology. Student teams can take on “build” or “consult” projects in any one of a number of topics including information security, database management, website development, social media, data analytics, digital commerce, wireless or wired technologies, or related areas.
“Build” projects need a specific IT build—for example creating a database or website. “Consult” projects involve students researching possible solutions to a need—for example, what cloud service should be purchased or what new customer/user categories should be considered. The Capstone program is of great value to you – the startup - and to the SU students because it will weigh heavily on their experiences as they seek career opportunities. Projects will be assigned to student teams the first week of September and will be completed by Thanksgiving. If you are interested, need more information, or ready to submit a project, please contact Bruce R Kingma, [email protected] Comments are closed.
