The Clean Tech Center at the Tech Garden in Syracuse is a NYSERDA-funded initiative focused on supporting companies commercializing environmental and clean energy technologies. Clean Tech refers to an emerging sector of products, services, and processes that harness renewable energy sources, reduce the carbon footprint, and advance sustainability.
The ultimate goal of the Clean Tech Center is to support our client companies by providing the training, resources, and expertise needed to get them ready for investment, cash flow positive, and successfully commercializing their emerging clean energy technologies. |
Why Join?
The Clean Tech Center offers support for entrepreneurs and early stage companies through incubation, acceleration and retention. We evaluate each company’s individual needs and provide customized assistance in order to obtain funding, technical support, and commercialization assistance.
In addition, The Clean Tech Center works to connect clean tech companies with national and state resource providers for acceleration support of staged growth. |

Clean Tech Center Companies
Companies are expected to cover a broad range of beneficiaries, from technologists interested in starting a company to profitable small and medium-sized enterprises in need of commercialization assistance to pursue new clean energy technology product development. Clients reside within physical incubator space at The Tech Garden and also virtually throughout Central New York. These entities are typically seeking access to unique technical and commercialization resources, such as those provided by The Tech Garden, Syracuse University, Syracuse Center of Excellence for Environmental and Energy Systems, and other research institutions in the Central New York region.
The Clean Tech Center also administers a NYSERDA-funded technical assistance grant program that may be available to qualified companies to help them access specialized testing or R&D support to advance through this dual track process and become “certified investment ready.” |
