RepHike, a marketing software that uses machine learning to recommend content creators on social media to brands, recently announced Paul Singh, Results Junkies founder and former 500 Startups partner, as an investor. The deal marks Singh’s first investment in a Western or Upstate New York company.

The 16-week remote program connects startups with government agencies to co-develop technology solutions for government challenges. Apply to one of the 80+ government challenges by November 7, 2018. Attracting venture capital from outside of the region for startup companies is critical to the success of those companies. Historically, that type of capital was hard to come by in this region. Which is why it is truly exciting to share that over the previous six months, more than $56 million in outside investments have been made in five current and former Tech Garden companies.
SparkCharge, a Syracuse University and Tech Garden startup company, recently won the $1 million grand prize in the fifth annual 43North competition in Buffalo. It was one of eight finalists of the $5 million startup contest that were announced at the awards ceremony.
