Edison Innovative Power LLC (EIP), a TTG member and Clean Tech Center participant, recently announced it has been selected for the New York State Clean Energy Internship Program. Central to the GENIUS NY accelerator experience is intentional integration with the local business community. As the GENIUS teams ultimately graduate from the accelerator into the business community, building partnerships, making new business connections, and gaining exposure to collaboration opportunities are integral to their growth.

WexEnergy is a woman owned business and proud that WindowSkins are 100% manufactured in New York State and the USA. WexEnergy, a TTG member and Clean Tech Center participant, recently announced that the company has started shipping its first WindowSkin orders. WindowSkin is an affordable window upgrade which takes a single-pane window to double-pane energy efficiency and a double-pane window to triple-pane energy efficiency at about 15% of the cost of window replacements. At this time, WindowSkins are being sold into the property management and educational building markets. The company anticipates opening sales to consumers in about 18-24 months. The Tech Garden’s Ideation Workshop traveled north to SUNY Oswego’s first Penfield Library Grand Challenges Makeathon. The workshop took place before the Makeathon for students to learn how ideas are made, assessed and realized into sustainable businesses. It also explored and demonstrated topics including brainstorming, problem identification, self-awareness, idea selection, validation and concept development.
